On the February 1, I went to Changshuo Community to do some volunteering. Actually, there were not many things. We did not visit old people, we did not clean the street. There was just one person. It was me.
The director asked to copy some information about people who are living in Anji. Every year, communities need renew the Population Enrollment. I was doing this job many times. It was a quite easy job, but it needs your patient. Your writing should be clear, because the workers might need some time in the community. However, it was also a very important job. The reason is it was about the population in the community. There was much information about people, such as mane, date of birth, address, family members, job, etc. I spent times on it. There were many Population Enrollments in the Changshuo Community. There was just me in the community office finishing the job. Every day, I spent two hours on copying. Luckily, I finished them before I go to Nanjing.
In the community office, every body was kind, they were usually speaking with a warm smile. They did their job by themselves. I was stayed in the same office with them. They sometimes were talking about something. They might answer residents’ questions. They also need go out to do some working.
I learned we should pay patient on each job. Whatever kinds of the job all need your patient. If I pay more attention on my job, I would finish it more careful, and quicker. While you were talking to people, please smile to them, and look attentively on them. When people were asking help from your, do not refuse immediately. Listen to them, and then think about your ability. If you could help them, do it as quickly as you could, or you might forget it. You may not know the person, you also could say “Happy New Year” to them. They would feel happy and warm. Bring others happy, you would also be happy.
After I finished my job, I found out I have a good patient. The reason was I was never in a fret, or complained with others. Every day, I went there on time, finished my job as quickly as I could, as careful as I could. I was so politely. While I was coming into the office, I smiled to ever body, and said “Good Morning” to them. I stayed on my seat quiet, because I did not want to bother others, and I hoped I could finish my job in time.
I put all my “artworks” to the director. She checked them, and then she praised me finish them wall. She hoped if I could came in Summer, because they would have many activities in the Summer. For example, clean the street, clean the advertisements on the wall and we would also go to old people’s home, etc. Of course, I said Ok.
I think I spent a great time in the Changshuo Community, even though my was easy to finish.
